Save Our Skills (S.O.S), a committee of The Business and Professional Women of Kuwait (BPW-Kuwait) in cooperation with Kuwait Economics Society, is sponsoring an exciting Womens’ Leadership event on Monday November 16th from 6pm until 9pm at the Kuwait Economic Society.
The program includes presentations by Dr Catherine Norton (an international expert in leadership and communication) as well a panel discussion with senior women leaders and professionals from government and private sectors in Kuwait.
The President of Economic Society, Dr. Rola Dashti stated that Kuwait Economics Society have always sought permanently to motivate women to develop their careers to be an active member in the development process and strengthen its role in the economics field.
Dr. Dashti added that KES hosts such events that serve women in particular to exchange local and global experiences to develop their capabilities, and that's how women can be effective in building a productive society. She noted that women's issues are part of the community concerns, pointing that the Society is keen on professional development for all segments of society in general and women in particular.
President of S.O.S. Suha Al Awadhi says “following the great success of last year’s forum in Kuwait, there is a golden opportunity to join this year’s workshop.” Suha Al Awadhi, says that Dr. Norton inspires women to become stronger leaders in their personal and professional lives. “The program demonstrates our national commitment to upgrade the leadership potential of women,” says Suha Al Awadhi. “Women in Kuwait need to develop stronger leadership skills. We are passionate about our goals.”
Maha Albaghli, Vise President of BOW Kuwait says that “Dr Catherine Norton has visited Kuwait many times and understands the challenges and opportunities for women in our country and throughout the region.”
For this reason, Dr. Catherine Norton, who has taught programs with the Kuwait Fund, is conducting a series of leadership activities aimed at motivating women in Kuwait.
The Kuwaiti Women’s Leadership Project is supported by the Australian Government through the Council for Australian-Arab Relations (CAAR). H.E Glenn Miles, the Australian Ambassador to Kuwait will make an introductory presentation.
